Buenos Aires
Part 1: Short visit and meat sweat
I landed in Buenos Aires at 3:30pm and took an Uber to the AirBnb place I had booked in Recoleta. Boudi was waiting for me there.
We walked around a bit and then got some beers and food. It was already 6pm and we decided to hit some sights, but they had all closed or were closing very soon. I found that odd.
In any case, we continued walking around towards Palermo. We walked for more than 2 hours and we were getting hungry. Palermo is a very cool neighbourhood with lots of cool bars and restaurants. When we come back to Buenos Aires, we will stay there.
We headed to Don Julio (Argentine grill house) but there was no longer any spots on the waiting list. So we made our way to La Carbera. We were told the wait would be around 45 minutes but it was actually around an hour and 15 minutes. We had steak, chicken stuffed with ham and sundried tomatoes, and red wine.
It was almost midnight when we finished eating, so we took a cab back to the apartment.
The next morning after a quick breakfast, we went to the Recoleta Cemetery and then walked around in Recoleta checking out some shops.
We checked out at 11am and made our way to the airport for our flight to Bariloche.
