Glasgow & Edinburgh (part 1)
Below average outdoors, good food
I arrived in Glasgow on September 4th and Maggie arrived on the 5th from Toronto. In Glasgow, we stayed at Katy's and Joe's, who were very welcoming. Their place was close to lots of good restaurants; we had an amazing brunch at Bramble, a great lunch at Lobo, and good Indian takeout.
I also went for a couple of (windy) bike rides around Glasgow.
Maggie and I walked around the Pollok Country Park, and went downtown to listen to live music.
On September 8th, after several trains got cancelled, we were able to grab one to Edinburgh to stay for one night. We didn't explore Edinburgh much as we were planning on coming back for a few days at the end of the trip.
The next day, I went to pick up the rental car to start our drive to the Highlands.
