Latacunga
Hiking the Quilotoa Lagoon
In Latacunga, I did not have any accommodation booked. I couldn't find any hostels and the affordable hotels did not have online booking.
So I made my way to one of the hotels, and it turned out it was owned by a sweet old lady from Lebanese descendants. She kept offering me Lebanese food for breakfast and would only accepted payment for the room after I "threatened" to move hotels.
The next day, I took a bus to hike the Quilotoa lagoon, and impressive 10km loop on the edge of a lagoon.
After the hike, I took a bus back to Latacunga, worked a bit, and then met Henry (who had arrived from Banos) for dinner.
The next day, as the COVID anxiety was making its way to South America, I took a bus to Quito.
