Cycling in Paradise

I landed in Faro and took a cab to Cabanas de Tavira, where I had rented a place for 9 days.

Cabanas de Tavira is a smaller touristy town. But when I was there, it wasn't very busy, which I liked. It was a great base. There were lots of great bike rides around, my place was very chill to work from, and within walking distance of many good restaurants.

After Tavira, I headed to Faro on October 29. The owner of the place I was renting in Faro didn't allow bikes (not sure why), so I had to pack it to bring it in. Luckily, the 3 days I was in Faro, it was raining often, so it wouldn't have been enjoyable to bike.

Faro is a fun touristy city. I met a nice Latvian guy, Max, and at night we would hang out together and go to an Irish pub to listen to live music.

From Faro, I made my way to Albufeira on November 2nd. I got a nice place in the old town since Maggie was coming to meet me.

In Albufeira, I was able to cycle again! I would go in the morning, work during the day with frequent food breaks, and hang out at the beach in the afternoon before heading out for dinner and music at night.

We stayed in Albufeira until November 10th, and them made our way to Portimao, where I had my first surfing experience, hung out at the beach, and did a fun ride.

We then made our way to Lisbon on November 12th to meet up with Sultan.
